Dan Werbel
Co-Founder, KidDesktop

As co-founder of KidDesktop, Dan Werbel is responsible for the product development and technical direction for the company. He has more than 15 years of experience in defining and implementing technology solutions. In addition to his role with KidDesktop, Dan is currently a director for pureIntegration where he handles business development, client relationship management and project delivery for telecommunications and media companies. Prior to his current position at pureIntegration, Dan served as a senior manager with Accenture where he led multi-million dollar online and customer facing IT architecture and software development projects.

Dan’s love for children began during his high school years when he became a camp counselor for children ages 5-7. He later volunteered and worked with children in homeless shelters in the Washington, D.C. area.

Dan received his master’s degree in system’s engineering from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and his bachelor’s degree in computer science from the University of Virginia. He resides in Falls Church, Va., with his wife, Brittanie, and their two sons, ages six and eight.

Brittanie Werbel
Co-Founder, KidDesktop

As co-founder of KidDesktop, Brittanie Werbel is responsible for the marketing, operations and customer support for the company. Brittanie has an innate passion for teaching and interacting with children. As a mother of two, Brittanie has enjoyed countless opportunities to interact with and learn from her children and their friends. Since 2004, Brittanie has served as an influential volunteer at Olam Tikvah Preschool, helping children learn numbers, letters, social skills, and assisting with in-classroom projects. Most recently, she was named to the school’s board of directors.

Previously, Brittanie was the associate director (Virginia and North Carolina) for the Anti-Defamation League, where she taught anti-bias and prejudice awareness training to teachers, educators, students, law enforcement and corporate workplaces.

Brittanie received her bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Colorado - Boulder. She resides in Falls Church, Va., with her husband, Dan, and their two sons, ages six and eight.
